I love using bratwurst as a delicious change of pace from Italian sausage.  We love our Bratwurst and Provolone Stuffed Zucchini, but now that cooler weather has finally arrived I need soup.

This bratwurst and potato soup is my new favorite. I recommend that you triple this recipe so that everyone will have enough for seconds and thirds. It is so so so so so so good.

Add potatoes and broth to the pot. Season with a little salt and pepper.

Add the sausage to the pot.

Can you make this recipe in a crockpot? Yes! It’s super easy.

Ingredients –  onion chopped –  carrots shredded – butter – potatoes  – chicken broth – cooked  bratwurst – heavy cream – salt and pepper
