Lard or shortening

Butter milk

of sliced fresh peaches

Instructions
Preheat oven to 400. Mix together peaches, 1/4 cup sugar, and lemon juice
and pour into a 9x13 baking dish.
In seperate bowl mix flour, 1/4 cup sugar, and nutmeg.
Cut in lard until flour resembles course crumbs. Mix in enough butter milk to make a wet dough. Drop heaping spoonfuls of dough onto peaches
and bake for 20-30 minutes until top is browned and peaches are soft.
Serve with ice cream.
